Last fall I stared some Sugar Snap Peas and they missed the trellis all together. Now they are a big tangled mess. Would I be better off starting new plants or pinching the ones that are already growing?

I just got this note from the folks over at Botanical Interests Seed Packets - I would not pinch back the peas because they are probably getting to the point where they will begin flowering. and cutting them back may reduce or elimate pea production. Even though they are a in a tangled mess, they should still produce flowers and peas. It may be a little harder to find the peas so if they can lift up the tangled vines a little bit, that might help. My space is so small that leaving the peas as this size of a mess would eat up my whole bed, I guess I need to start over... thinking about planting tall sunflowers and then letting the peas and sungold tomatos use the the stalks as the support.
