The Daily Dig
Following up on his popular "Gardening with Succulents" workshop, UC Davis Botanical Conservatory Director Ernesto Sandoval returns to SFBG to discuss the cultivation of beautiful succulents alongside other perennials in your garden. Featuring high-quality photographs from public and private regional gardens as well as live specimens and demonstrations, this four-hour workshop is not to be missed. With a focus on aloes, agaves, cacti, and other eye-catching and practical succulents, Ernesto will also discuss some less common drought-tolerant plants, how and when to transplant them, and demonstrate similarities and differences between these and "flimsy" perennials. Once again, an enticing assortment of succulents and other drought tolerant plants will be for sale; proceeds will benefit the UC Davis Botanical Conservatory.
