The California Chapter annual show and plant sale features hundreds of blossoms and trusses of all the major Rhododendron species including Vireyas, Madeniis and Azaleas.
The society has monthly meetings which are held every third Thursday of the month from September to May, starting at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm. The chapter currently has over 100 members in the San Francisco Bay Area.

For anyone who can't make it to the show the lath house at The Gardens at Lake Merritt has an amazing collection of vireya and rhododendron.
