Kids ♥ Sun Flowers

Last week we potted up a few flats of sunflower seeds and this weekend we have sprouts :) I have heard that sunflowers are a great first plant to get children started with gardening. The plants and flowers are giant and grow very quickly over a short period of time, perfect for little people on the move. I will try to post a new photo and give an update on our progress every week or so until the flowers bloom. Anyone else starting sunflowers with their kids this summer?
