I like things that have dual purposes. Toilet paper is made to wipe your privates but you can also blow your nose on it. That's why when I saw this water fountain being used as a planter, I had to stop and smile.

What a great idea it is to use that broken fountain for something it wasn't intended for. This three tiered fountain was housing succulents, cacti, and bromeliads. I love the way the plants start to drip over the edge simulating cascading water and the orbs look like floating bubbles.

If you decide to make your own fountain at home make sure you drill plenty of drainage holes at the bottom of each tier. Put some mesh and gravel over the holes before you fill it with soil and your favorite plants. Makes me wonder what I could do with with a discarded toilet :+}
